Reports project up to a 6.6’ rise in sea level by 2100

What will a rising sea level affect?

  • Most SC beaches will not exist as they do today.
  • Many business and residential properties will be lost.
  • A third of the Charleston peninsula will be lost.
  • More frequent flooding of low-lying land.

What Causes Sea Levels to Rise?
